Marie Christelle Mabeu is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Ottawa. She graduated from Laval University with an MBA in Finance and she is working as a researcher at the World Bank. Her research interests include Development Economics, Health Economics, Demographic Economics, and Political Economy. Her doctoral thesis investigates the historical and institutional determinants of important outcomes such as maternal and child health, early-age human capital accumulation, female empowerment, and reproductive behavior.
